We need to create the infrastructure required for Nigerians to access the Internet so that they could have access to the tremendous amount of knowledge available on the World Wide Web. The DIGITAL divide is of two folds. The DIGITAL divide between Nigeria and the rest of the World. That is one, Information Technology would help bridge that. But in Nigeria also, there is a wider divide between the urban and the rural. There are several parts of Nigeria where people have never seen a telephone not to talk of using one."
